Ianuarie mereu e… puțin frumos, puțin neguros… puțin maiestuos.
Mai ales dacă ninge.

Un alb ca un târziu scuturat brusc de printre tăceri și cuvinte. Ca un ne-ajuns.
Și totuși… pufos.

L-am găsit pe nepregătite într-o dimineață, pudrat fin pe ramuri și frunze, fire de iarbă și pași, gânduri…

și-acum rânduri.

 

January always is… a bit beautiful, a bit nostalgic… a bit majestic.
Especially if it snows.

A mantle of white like a belated hello, suddenly coming out of the hiding. Slightly overdue.
But still… wonderfully fuzzy.

And I found it unexpectedly too one morning, a fine powder on branches and leaves, on the ground and my steps, my ruminations…

and now my words.

Iar covorul de alb așezat ca o înfrigurare însorită delicios mă aștepta să îl admir,

să îi surprind lumina și căldura,

mantie vrăjită de ianuarie alb.

 

And the white carpet of snow laid on the ground like a sunny spread, deliciously chilly was waiting for me to admire its loveliness,

to capture its warmth and brightness,

magical mantle of January white.
