“The main point of Christianity was this:
that Nature is not our mother: Nature is our sister.”
― G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
Toate doar sunt,
au și respiră
un suflet
Apus și răsărit,
zile de vară cu albastru de mare
în depărtare,
verde cu miros de pini pe Thassos,
pietre albe în cerc zodiacal,
leagăn de lemn,
nisip fierbinte cu crini albi…
Everything just is,
it has and breathes
one soul
Sunset and sunrise,
summer days with sea blue
on the horizon,
green smelling of pine on Thassos,
white rocks in a zodiac circle,
wooden board swing,
warm sand with white lilies…
Frumosul turlelor
printre crengi de primăvară devreme
sau însoțit de eleganța
unei veșnicii de brad,
The beauty of the steeples
beyond bare early spring branches
or accompanied by the elegance
of an eternity of a fir tree
vârfuri gotice
punctând nori miniatural trecători…
Gothic spires
highlighting the miniature clouds
in comparison…
Catedrala St Patrick din Dublin,
uimitoare în alcătuirea ei impunătoare…
St Patrick’s cathedral in Dublin,
so amazing,
overwhelming in its imposing loftiness…
…și întotdeauna
însoritul luminos
al cărării
zilelor,
rece sau cald,
cu miez de inimă
și
puls de curat
Divin de dulce
și
infinit
de aproape…
…and forever
the bright sunny air
of the pathway
of days,
cold or warm,
with its essence of heart
and
pulse of purity
Sweetly divine
and
infinitely
at hand…
Momente și amintiri,
cercul secundelor,
spirala lor,
labirintul,
Moments and memories,
seconds’ circle
and spirals,
the labyrinth,
thoughts clinging silently onto a morning’s delight,
heartfelt words
smiles or laughs bring lightness,
someone’s voice, eyes or hand…
All with their rustle
from the core and essence
of life’s heart
This week’s theme also reminded me of a dear old post too, very close to my heart

Wonderful post Nicole. It’s one thing to include photographs of what are obviously spiritual sites. But to add your poetry so beautifully is really special. Thanks so much for joining us.
